Director of Business Development

We are seeking a Director of Business Development (sales) position. Below is a detailed description of the job responsibilities.

Director of Business Development Responsibilities:

Identifies marketplace opportunities. Generates sales through networking, following leads and calling on potential clients throughout New England (the Northeast).

Prospects new business, gathers information about client needs, schedules first time visits and conducts in-person prospecting calls, traveling through assigned territory to meet with them.

Presents solutions to potential clients and follows up with potential clients.

Develops and delivers strategic sales presentations.

Motivates the customer to action by positioning FitzVogt’s features, advantages, and benefits to meet client needs.

Conducts site surveys to gather information required for proposal preparation.

Participates in proposal preparation in conjunction with the FitzVogt operations team and the FitzVogt marketing departments.

Co-ordinates with FitzVogt marketing department to update and keep the sales data base current.

Creates and maintains customer relationships.

Develops and articulates solutions and the value FitzVogt offers to clients.

Monitors competition sales and marketing activities.

Forecasts sales activities. Prepares periodic sales report showing sale volume, potential sales, and area of proposed client base expansion.

Represents company at trade association meetings to promote FitzVogt

Performs other related sales tasks as required.

Education and Work Experience:

- A bachelor’s degree and five (8) years’ food service contract sales experience,

- Focused on new account generation,

- Must be familiar with health care, private school and upscale dining markets.
